Cara Luft hosts 'Girls That Play Guitar...£65

We are delighted to announce that International singer/songwriter Cara Luft will be holding a special girls only guitar masterclass at Bloomsburys Biddenden Kent. The class will run from 12noon to 3.30/4pm for a cost of £65 per head, Canadian born Cara, whilst still in her early twenties, struck out on her own, recording two EPs and the Prairie Music Award-nominated album Tempting the Storm (2000) which signaled the arrival of a major talent. Based in Winnipeg, Cara has become a widely-respected and well-traveled member of the Canadian folk/roots music community. She has graced the stage at Lilith Fair and performed at the prestigious International Guitar Festival in the UK. With The Wailin’ Jennys she created one of the most talked about folk groups of the last ten years and recorded the exquisite 40 Days, winner of the 2005 Juno award for Best Roots Recording (Group). Marc Twang and Cactus Jim Soldi from from San Diego, California are at the top of their profession. Both guitarists are first class musicians having worked out of Nashville with some of the biggest names in music, Cactus Jim was Johnny Cash's guitarist for many years and both have shared stages with Crosby Stills and Nash, The Doobie Brothers and Albert Lee to name but a few. The Masterclass will run from 12noon to 3.30/4pm at the Performing Arts Centre , Cranbrook Kent. The cost of £65 includes all written material, use of the backline which is provided by our sponsor Bonners Music Ltd.
